LINEN CARE: Contrary to popular belief, linen is relatively easy to care for. However, like any textile product, it is best to follow specific instructions for the fabric to extend its lifespan. This guide will help you care for your linen pieces so you can keep them longer.

MACHINE WASHING: Make sure to unfold the pieces before putting them in the washer. Avoid overloading the washer; linen needs space to move! Prefer a delicate cycle wash with cold or lukewarm water. Use a mild detergent to preserve the linen fibers. Avoid fabric softeners and bleaches, as they can alter the texture of the linen. A simple tablespoon of vinegar in the rinse cycle is a natural softener that can be used safely!

HAND WASHING: Fill the sink or a container with lukewarm water and add a small amount of mild soap. Submerge the linen pieces and let them soak for about ten minutes. Gently move the pieces in the water without rubbing. Remove the soapy water and rinse until there is no soap residue left. Do not wring out the linen; remove excess water by gently pressing, then spread on a dry towel. Roll the towel with the linen on it, press the roll so the towel absorbs the excess water.

DRYING LINEN: Prefer air drying, outdoors or indoors. Pleat the edges and hems with your fingers before hanging to dry. If machine drying, remove the linen while it is still slightly damp. Do not use fabric softeners in the machine; these products adhere to the linen fiber and alter its properties.

IRONING LINEN (OPTIONAL!): Iron your linen while it is still damp for optimal results. Set the iron to high heat with steam. Ironing dry linen at high temperatures risks damage. Do not use fabric softeners in the machine.

STORING LINEN: Make sure your linen is completely dry before storing to prevent mildew. Store in a well-ventilated, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid placing in plastic bags or bins; use pillowcases or linen bags to store your linen.

STAIN REMOVAL: Treat stains as quickly as possible! Heat sets stains. Only use hot water or a dryer once the stain is gone, unless otherwise indicated. Rubbing the fabric can damage the fibers. Blot or gently rub when necessary.
